TeamAndre Gharakhanian Andre Gharakhanian is the founder of Silicon Legal Strategy. He has an established track record of delivering top-tier legal and strategic advice to emerging technology companies, c-level executives and venture investors. Andre has served as the primary legal counsel for emerging companies at varying stages of development – from fledgling endeavors to venture-backed companies with hundreds of employees. He has advised both companies and investors in connection with dozens upon dozens of angel, bridge and venture capital financings. He has also helped clients to negotiate and structure hundreds of M&A transactions, strategic partnerships, consulting arrangements and licensing agreements. Andre has also counseled Boards of Directors as they hire executives and advised executives as they negotiate compensation packages. Andre was most recently an attorney with Orrick's Emerging Companies Group in Silicon Valley. From September 2006 to September 2007, he also served on the Executive Board of the San Francisco Web Innovators Network. Andre began his legal career at Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP in Chicago, where he focused on large-scale securities offerings and public company mergers and acquisitions for a number of years. Prior to Mayer Brown, Andre held positions at the US Securities and Exchange Commission and NERA Economic Consulting. Andre received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and his undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Michigan. Andre also serves on the advisory boards of a handful of startups, including BitGirder Technologies and MagBooth. Andre enjoys travelling with his wife, wine tasting and Michigan football. In 2001, Andre was a winner on the hit NBC game show, The Weakest Link. Kristin Sverchek Kristin Sverchek is an associate at Silicon Legal Strategy. Kristin has represented a wide variety of emerging technology companies, entrepreneurs, venture capital firms and angel investors. Kristin advises both companies and investors in private equity and debt financings, assists companies in incorporation and formation, and counsels clients on day-to-day corporate governance matters. Kristin also guides clients as they negotiate and structure M&A transactions, commercial agreements and employment/consulting arrangements. Prior to joining SLS, Kristin was a corporate and securities associate at Gunderson Dettmer LLP. Kristin received her law degree from University of California, Hastings and her undergraduate degree from University of California, Berkeley, with a major in Molecular & Cell Biology and a minor in History of Art. Kristin enjoys watching Cal football, spending time outdoors, and travelling. David Chang is an associate at Silicon Legal Strategy. He works with emerging technology companies, venture capital firms and angel investors. David advises both companies and investors in bridge and venture capital financings, assists companies in incorporation and formation, and counsels clients on day-to-day corporate governance matters. Prior to joining SLS, David was a corporate associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP. David received his law degree from New York University School of Law and his undergraduate degree from Brown University, with a double concentration in Sociology and Ethnic Studies. In his free time, David enjoys scuba diving, snowboarding, golfing and rock climbing. He is also an avid sports fan, and particularly enjoys football, hockey, and baseball. David tries to travel as often as he can, and the next country he wants to visit is Belize. Reshna Sumiran is a senior legal assistant at Silicon Legal Strategy. She has extensive experience in all areas of corporate and securities transactions, for both California and Delaware corporations. Prior to joining SLS, Reshna was a legal assistant at Perkins Coie, LLP, Heller Ehrman, LLP and Cooley Godward Kronish LLP. |
