Kirsten Roggeveen is an associate at Silicon Legal Strategy.

Kirsten advises startups, founders, and venture capital investors on legal issues through every stage of growth — from company formation and initial capitalization through debt and equity financings, corporate governance matters, and mergers and acquisitions.

Prior to joining SLS, Kirsten represented emerging companies and venture capital firms as an associate with Cooley LLP in New York. In the venture capital world, Kirsten has also held roles with O’Leary Ventures, where she assessed prospective Shark Tank investments, and the Creative Destruction Lab incubator program, where she advised technology startups from a business perspective on scalability and go-to-market strategies.

Kirsten received her J.D. from the University of Toronto, where she also received her MBA from the Rotman School of Management. She also holds an undergraduate degree with honors from The University of British Columbia.

Away from the office, Kirsten enjoys snowboarding, golfing, art, country music, attending rodeos and rooting for the Edmonton Oilers.
