SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Silicon Legal Strategy today announced that Tommy Szalasny has joined the firm as an associate in its San Francisco office.
Tommy’s practice focuses on general corporate and securities law, and he represents companies and investors in a wide range of matters including entity formation, organization and governance, debt and equity financings, and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining SLS, Tommy provided strategic recommendations, economic research, and statistical analysis for clients facing intellectual property related legal challenges as a Managing Consultant at Edgeworth Economics. Before that, Tommy worked with emerging companies, venture capitalists, and private equity investors as a corporate attorney in Cooley LLP’s San Francisco office. Prior to law school, Tommy specialized in analyzing liability and damages contentions in litigation related matters in the healthcare and life sciences industries as a Senior Consultant at Bates White, an economic consulting firm.
Tommy received his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley where he earned the Jurisprudence Award in Venture Capital Law and the Prosser Award in Contract Law. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from Northwestern University.
