Silicon Legal Welcomes Former Orrick Associate Bess Blumenfeld

Los Angeles, CA – Silicon Legal Strategy announced today that Bess Blumenfeld has joined the firm as a managing associate in its Los Angeles office. Bess represents emerging companies and investors in formation and startup matters, venture capital equity and debt financings, mergers & acquisitions and other strategic transactions, and in day-to-day corporate matters.

Prior to joining SLS, Bess was a senior associate at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP, where she advised startups, late-stage private companies and venture capital investors. She previously advised public and private corporate clients and venture capital investors with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Gunderson Dettmer.

Bess received her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, Order of the Coif.

“SLS has built a practice around genuinely understanding what founders and investors need, and I am excited to contribute to the firm’s mission of providing premier legal services to our clients,” said Bess. “I’m thrilled to work alongside this talented, dedicated and kind team.”

“Bess is exactly the kind of advisor founders and funds keep close,” said Gaurav Mathur, Partner at Silicon Legal and head of its Los Angeles office. “She pairs the transactional depth she built at firms like Skadden and Gunderson with the hands-on counsel our clients count on. We’re ecstatic she is joining the SLS team.”
