Silicon Legal represented Canela Media as they raised a $3 million Series Seed round, bringing total company funding in 2020 to $5 million.

Canela Media, a Latina-owned digital media company with the fourth largest Hispanic audience in its market, is offering brands a complete ecosystem to connect with multicultural audiences – leading with its free streaming service, Canela.TV. The capital raise came from a majority of female-led VCs, as BBG Ventures and Reinventure Capital co-led the round. Mighty Capital, Angeles Investors, Profolia’s Rising America Fund and Alumni Ventures Group also participated.

The Silicon Legal client team included Coleman Cannon, Sarah Boulden, Mike Perez and Corin Medrano.
