Silicon Legal represented Toyota AI Ventures as they joined Universal Hydrogen’s $20.5MM Series A round.

Universal Hydrogen is a Los Angeles-based startup aiming to develop hydrogen storage solutions and conversion kits for commercial aircraft.

The round was led by Playground Global with an investor syndicate including, in addition to Toyota AI Ventures, Fortescue Future Industries, Coatue, Global Founders Capital, Plug Power, Airbus Ventures, Sojitz Corporation, JetBlue Technology Ventures and Future Shape.

The Silicon Legal client team included Coleman Cannon, Charu Satia and Tommy Szalasny.
