SLS will waive the first $5k of legal fees for companies in the current cohort that are referred by TechStars. No retainer required.

Filing, expenses, and any non-SLS specialist fees will be paid by the clients on regular invoice cycle. Waiver will not apply to any fees for services related to dissolution of the company. If the company raises money in a preferred stock financing (Series Seed or Series A) and uses SLS, then up to $5,000 in fees related to the initial corporate work will be completely waived once the company pays off all other fees due and payable to the law firm, including the fees incurred in the Series Seed or Series A financing. If the company: (i) raises money in a preferred stock financing using a different law firm, (ii) sells its assets or is acquired prior to a preferred stock financing, (iii) doesn’t plan to raise a preferred stock financing, or (iv) switches firms, then the fees will not be waived, and will become due and payable immediately.
