Silicon Legal represented Munich Re Ventures as they joined Fernride’s $50 million Series A Round.

Fernride is developing an autonomous, electric trucking platform combining teleoperations technology (keeping humans in the loop) with autonomous driving technology.

The round was led by Co-Lead Investors HHLA Next, PUSH Ventures and Fly Ventures and included investments from, in addition to Munich Re Ventures, Bayern Kapital, DB Schenker, DeepTech & Climate Fonds, and individual investor Klaus Kleinfeld.

Silicon Legal’s Munich Re Ventures client team includes Ryan Southerland, Andre Gharakhanian, Ian Peck, Kevin Morrissey, Adam Derry, Madelyn Tarr, Larry Suh, Jon Loebl, and Vishal Ganesan.
