Silicon Legal represented Toyota Ventures as they joined Future Fields’ $11.2 million seed extension round.

Future Fields’ manufacturing platform is the first synthetic biology system in the world to use fruit flies for recombinant protein production.

The round was led by Bee Partners, and included investments from, in addition to Toyota Ventures, Builders VC, AgFunder, Amplify Capital, Milad Alucozai of BoxOne Ventures, Green Circle Foodtech, Siddhi Capital, and Climate Capital.

The Silicon Legal client team included Coleman Cannon, P. Charu Satia, Mike Perez, Charlie Clark, and Michael Levin.
